Tumble Time meets 007

Kate has Tumble Time on Mondays now at school and I've really been wanting to go watch. I snuck into her school this morning with my camera so I could watch and take a few pictures. It was a little tricky trying to watch and take pictures without her seeing me, but I got a few. I was afraid if she saw me she wouldn't be able to just have fun and she'd be confused when I left. She loves Tumble Time.

They started out sitting down and doing some stretches. The little girl behind her is Isabel in her class. Then they got up and danced to some music. I couldn't get a good shot of that.

Here she's walking across a little beam. She seemed a little unsure of that.

Her favorite thing to do was go through the tunnel. Here's Ms. Wanda helping her. We love her teachers, Ms. Wanda and Ms. Kathy. She's been with them since she was 4-months old.

And out of the tunnel - what fun! As you can see, her little friend Phoebe was a little unsure about Tumble Time. She had to bring her bear with her :)

We love the playground!

We've started taking Kate to the playground in our neighborhood after dinner most nights. She loves it. She loves to slide, swing and watch other kids/dogs play.

Rocky Top Weekend

We've been very excited about the UF/UT game and we have some sweet friends who are UT fans and invited us over to watch the game. It ended up being a great football game; we were really glad to win.

Getting ready for the game.

Working on the chomp.

So Sunday was "Wear your camo" day at church. Only in South Louisiana :). We had a big outreach event for hunters and fishers Sunday night, so this was to promote the event. Fred searched all over Baton Rouge to find Kate a camo shirt to wear. She wasn't in a great mood when we left for church, but I had to get a picture. These temper tantrums are becoming a little more common around our house :)

Going down the slide backwards.

Plotting her next adventure...

Kate won these camo shades at church. She wore them while she ate dinner tonight.

Friday Fun Pics

Happy Friday!

Getting ready for her 18-month checkup with Dr. Franz. She's wearing one of Fred's nametags from church. She loves to wear this thing around. She wore it to the appointment.

Hanging out with daddy, watching Sesame Street.

18 months ago today...

...we were welcoming Kate into the world. What a great day! I can't believe she's a year and a half old today. I meant to take more pictures this weekend, but it literally rained all weekend. But I did get some of her climbing inside - one of her favorite things to do, even in her church dress. Wednesday's her well-baby checkup, but I can predict that she will be off the charts for height. She is very tall. Today is her first Tumble Time gymnastics class at school. I can't wait to hear about it. I'm going to try to go watch her next time, but I figured she'd be more likely to jump right in if I wasn't there the first time.

How did I get here? Let's retrace our steps...

Hmm...I think I'd like to sit in this chair.

A basket, another great thing to climb on.

Hiding from momma.

Getting some love from daddy.

Kate has completely worn Alli out.

Belles and Beaus

Kate's hair has been growing really fast lately and getting a little wild. So I took her this afternoon to a children's hair salon near our house for a trim. She didn't throw a fit or anything, but she seemed less than thrilled to have someone other than her grandfather ("Ditto") cutting her hair. Who can blame her? I mean, this lady didn't even have vanilla wafers. Who cares about the Barbie jeep chair?
